[edit] What Is Rise of the Spam Lord?

Rise of the Spam Lord is a collection of forum-fiction short (And not-so-short.) stories revolving around the title character, the Spam Lord, and his attempts to dominate the Internet. Attempting to stop his maniacal plans are characters from most of the major science fiction television shows and movies of the 80s and 90s, as well as an ensemble cast of forum users and Moderators, not to mention other characters from across the GameSpy Network.

Written between July 2002 and January 2007, the Rise of the Spam Lord stories encompass not only stories directly involving the Spam Lord, but also extended-universe stories that follow the main characters' adventures after and between the main RotSL stories. There are, at current count, seven RotSL stories, seven GameSpy Legends stories, and three pre-RotSL stories that flesh out the RotSL universe.
