SMID, AKA Chris Rowe, has been writing since about 2000, though he's been making up immense backstories and his own universes since he was physically able to do such things. You could say that it runs in his blood, except that it doesn't, so that would be a lie. An enormous science-fiction nerd, SMID spends far too much time in his own head and on other planets, resulting in over 90% of his knowledge being useless science-fiction trivia. This is not a bad thing, however, as it has allowed him to create some very impressive storylines over the last few years, and although he has not turned any into novels yet, that's a problem he's working on and will, hopefully, soon remedy.

While SMID's passion is science-fiction, his true area of expertise is cross-over stories. Combining multiple universes and storylines into one coherent story has been his greatest success, and he likes to think that, in another universe somewhere, another him is head of a film studio dedicated entirely to "vs." films.
